Background on The Program
The City of Anaheim Public Access EV Charger Rebate Program helps local properties save thousands on EV charger installations. Administered by Anaheim Public Utilities, the program is designed to expand charging infrastructure and increase electric vehicle (EV) adoption across the city. Eligible expenses include EV charger hardware procurement and installation. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis while it lasts, so properties are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. See if your property qualifies below.
What You Need to Know
Eligible Project Types:
- Projects must be located within the Anaheim Public Utilities service area
- Applicable for sites installing Level 2 or Level 3 chargers
- Charging stations must serve patrons, multi-family dwelling residents, commuters, and visitors
- A maximum of 10 charging stations per applicant per year is allowed
- Level 1 chargers are not eligible
Total Funding Available per Charging Port:
- Up to $3,500 for public access locations
- Up to $7,500 for schools, affordable housing, and publicly accessible Level 3 DC Fast Chargers
Maximum Funding for Each Applicant:
- $25,000 per commercial project
- $40,000 per school or affordable housing multi-unit dwelling project
