Yes! All Tesla models (Model 3, Model Y, Model X, etc) can charge using the J1772 (J plug) adapter that comes included with the vehicle. Tesla drivers will need an adapter for either CSS or CHAdeMO, which is not included with their vehicle, to charge on a Level 3 fast charging station.

The main differences between a Level 2 charger and Level 3 fast charger is the amount of kWh the charger can provide and the plug types used to charge. A Level 3 fast charger can charge 10x – 50x faster than a Level 2 charger. Our Level 2 chargers use a J1772 plug whereas our Level 3 fast chargers can provide CCS, NACS, and CHAdeMO plugs.
Three. Level 1 chargers (120-volt) take 10+ hours for a full charge. Level 2 chargers (240-volt) can fully charge a vehicle in a couple hours. Level 3 chargers (480-volt) take about 30 minutes, but use considerably more power.
