Background on The Program
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) is helping local properties save thousands on EV charger procurement and installations in an effort to expand EV ownership and clean technology across the Valley. Applicants are actively being accepted for their most recent incentive program, Charge Up!. Funding for the program is on a first-come, first-served basis, so secure it while there’s still time! What You Need to Know
Eligible Project Types:
- Projects must be located within SJVAPCD boundaries, which includes the following counties: San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare, and the valley air basin portion of Kern
- Funding is only reserved for Level 2 and Level 3/DC fast chargers
- Sites requesting Level 3/DC fast chargers must be publicly accessible 24/7
- Multi-unit dwellings, workplaces, and public facilities are all eligible property types, but private home-use EV chargers are not eligible
Total Funding Available per Charging Port:
- Level 2 Single Port - $5,000
- Level 2 Dual Port - $6,000
- Level 3/DC Fast Charger - $25,000
Max Grant Award Available for Each Applicant:
- $50,000 annually per applicant/site
- Awards are on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds are exhausted
