Background on The Program
City of Vernon Public Utilities (VPU) is offering up to $100,000 in savings through its Commercial EV Charger Incentive Program (CEVSE). This program is designed to help commercial properties in Vernon, California install EV charging equipment by offsetting equipment, networking, and installation costs associated with the project. What You Need to Know
Program Window:
- The program currently lists no application deadline; however, funding is subject to availability
Requirements:
- Properties must be an active Vernon Public Utilities (VPU) commercial electric customer
- Funding is available only for commercial EV charging stations
- Eligible equipment must be network-connected, certified by an approved testing laboratory, and able to report energy usage data
Funding Available per Port:
- Up to $3,000 per port for a qualifying Level 2 charger (min. 6.2 kW)
- Up to $4,000 per port for a qualifying Tier 1 Level 3, DCFC (24-49kW)
- Up to $6,000 per port for a qualifying Tier 2 Level 3, DCFC (50-149kW)
- Up to $7,500 per port for a qualifying Tier 3 Level 3, DCFC (150+ kW)
- Funding is provided after installation and submission of required documentation
Maximum Funding Available per Site:
- $100,000 per premises
