Background on The Program
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) offers incentives to help workplaces, businesses, and multifamily properties install EV charging stations throughout the region. These incentives help support the local communities by promoting sustainable transportation, meeting drivers’ needs, and strengthening businesses. Properties within SMUD’s service area may qualify for significant annual funding for eligible EV charger installation projects. Since 80% of charging happens at home, work, or school, expanding access to charging solutions helps make EV ownership more accessible for all. Learn more about the program below.
