Project Information
Colleges and universities serve as hubs of innovation and environmental stewardship, and CSUDH has a long history of leading by example through its commitment to sustainability across campus. As electric vehicle (EV) adoption continues to grow across California, the university sought to expand access to reliable charging infrastructure to support the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
CSUDH installed 200 Level 2 chargers in Lot 3 and leveraged Southern California Edison’s Charge Ready rebate program to offset its costs. The project significantly expanded charging availability, helping support daily commuters while advancing the university’s broader sustainability goals. These chargers also support the campus’s CREST program, which provides the CSUDH community with affordable access to rental EVs.
Today, Chargie provides ongoing station and network management services for the campus, ensuring that charging stations remain operational, accessible, and dependable for students, faculty, and community members.
