Can I use an extension cord or third-party adapter for EV charging?

The use of third-party extension cords or adapters is banned on our network. Unauthorized adapters may not have the appropriate safety mechanisms, may pose a danger to the driver, and can cause irreparable damage to the vehicle or charging station. Only adapters made by the vehicle manufacturer for use with your vehicle are allowed (ex: a Tesla-provided adapter).
